In classic ADHD fashion, I recently went down a rabbit hole after a conversation with a friend about coaching. They told me they would never sign up for coaching. The idea of sitting down for a structured conversation about mindset, feelings, and challenges? Absolutely not.
That got me thinking.
A lot of people—especially men—struggle with frustration, emotional control, and focus. Not just in everyday life, but in sports too. Mindset plays a bigger role in performance than most people realise.
But for many, the idea of sitting across from a coach, making eye contact, and talking about emotions or challenges feels uncomfortable. Too much pressure.
What If Coaching Felt Different?
What if it was practical, performance-driven, and action-based instead of just talking?
What if it focused on:
✅ Staying cool under pressure instead of getting frustrated.
✅ Focusing for the full game instead of losing momentum halfway through.
✅ Making better decisions under stress instead of reacting impulsively.
This started as a joke, but feels like its turning into a real idea:
Golf Course Coaching
You play, we talk.
No eye contact.
No sitting in a room.
Just real conversations while doing something you already love.
If sitting across a screen or table isn’t your thing, why not meet somewhere you already feel comfortable?
Coaching doesn’t have to feel like coaching. It can be movement-based, integrated into daily life, and tailored to what helps you perform at your best.
The best part? You might not even realise it’s coaching.

What started as a joke made me realise something important—coaching isn’t about making you change. It’s about meeting you where you are and giving you the tools to unlock your potential.
Why So Many Men Struggle to Find Support
This conversation reinforced what I see in my coaching work every day:
✔️ Most men carry stress alone because they don’t know where to start.
✔️ Many want to improve their mindset and focus, but therapy feels overwhelming or unnecessary.
✔️ Some want to feel less frustrated on the golf course, but don’t realise their off-course stress is affecting their game.
Coaching Is Evolving
It doesn’t have to be formal or feel like therapy. It’s about creating spaces that work for you—whether that’s on the golf course, during movement, or in real-life scenarios.
The goal?
✅ Improve your mental game so your golf game improves.
✅ Learn how to stay focused, manage frustration, and handle pressure.
✅ Develop strategies to help you win—not just on the course, but in life.
The Connection Between ADHD, Performance, and Focus
A lot of the people I coach don’t realise they might have ADHD traits—they just know they struggle with:
🔴 Inconsistent performance (some days you’re dialled in, other days you’re all over the place).
🔴 Emotional outbursts (one bad shot ruins the whole round).
🔴 Impulsive decision-making (rushing shots, overcorrecting, repeating mistakes).
🔴 Difficulty staying focused for 18 holes (starting strong but losing steam).
🔴 Balancing work, stress, and personal life so it doesn’t affect your performance.
Sound familiar? That’s not a lack of skill—it’s a lack of mental tools.
That’s why coaching for performance isn’t just about golf—it’s about sharpening focus, emotional control, and decision-making in every area of life.
Curious About Coaching That Feels Different?
If coaching has always felt too formal, too structured, or too much like therapy—let’s rethink it together.
✔️ You play, we talk.
✔️ No pressure, no awkwardness—just real tools to help you improve your performance.
✔️ Tailored strategies to sharpen focus, decision-making, and emotional control—so your golf game improves without changing your swing.
